Q. How can I limit the results in BU Libraries Search to articles from peer-reviewed journals?

  Sep 04, 2019

BU Libraries Search has a filter that allows you to limit your search to peer-reviewed articles. To the right of your search results, you will see filters that look like this:

Click on "Peer-Reviewed Articles" and BU Libraries Search will limit your results.

Note that while the main articles in such journals have been peer-reviewed, there may be other pieces in the journal (news, editorials, letters to the editor, etc.) that have not been peer-reviewed. Thus, just because an item has been published in a peer-reviewed journal does not guarantee that the item itself was peer-reviewed. Look at the section of the journal in which the piece was published to determine the nature of the piece (i.e. if it was published in the Research Articles section of a peer-reviewed journal, the piece is almost certainly a peer-reviewed article).
